Rest in God's Grace

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." – Matthew 11:28

Reflection:

Life can be exhausting. Between responsibilities at home, work, and in relationships, we often find ourselves drained, both physically and spiritually. We push ourselves to keep going, believing that rest is a luxury rather than a necessity. But Jesus invites us to come to Him and find true rest. His grace is a gift that allows us to step away from the pressure to perform and instead abide in His peace.

When we try to do everything in our own strength, we become overwhelmed. But when we rest in God’s grace, we remember that we don’t have to strive for His love or approval—it is already given to us freely. Today, take a moment to pause, breathe, and receive the rest that God offers. Let go of the burdens you are carrying and trust that He will sustain you.

Lesson:

Resting in God’s grace does not mean we stop working or being productive. It means we work from a place of trust rather than stress. It means surrendering our worries and allowing God to carry what we cannot. When we abide in Him, we find strength, renewal, and peace.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for offering me rest in Your presence. Help me to trust in Your grace and let go of the burdens that weigh me down. Teach me to abide in You, knowing that Your strength is sufficient for me. Fill my heart with peace and renewal today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Life Questions:

What burdens are you carrying today that you need to surrender to God?

How can you create space in your daily life to rest in God’s presence?

What does true rest in God’s grace look like for you?

Write a personal prayer, asking God to help you find rest in Him.
