God's Strength in our Weakness

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."

– 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Reflection:

As women, we often feel the pressure to have it all together—to be strong, capable, and resilient in every aspect of our lives. But there are moments when we feel weak, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to move forward. The good news is that God does not expect us to rely on our own strength. Instead, He invites us to lean on His power and grace.

Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. When we acknowledge our need for Him, we allow His grace to work in and through us. Our weaknesses become opportunities for God to show His power, transforming our struggles into testimonies of His faithfulness. Instead of hiding our struggles, we can embrace them, knowing that God’s strength will carry us through.

Lesson:

True strength is not about doing everything on our own—it’s about relying on God. When we surrender our weaknesses to Him, He provides the grace and power we need to overcome challenges. Today, let go of the pressure to be perfect and allow God’s strength to be your foundation.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that I don’t have to be strong on my own. Your grace is sufficient for me, and Your power is made perfect in my weakness. Help me to surrender my struggles to You and to trust in Your strength to carry me through. Fill me with Your peace and confidence as I lean on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Life Questions:

What areas of your life do you feel weakest in right now?

How does knowing that God’s power is made perfect in weakness change your perspective?

In what ways have you seen God’s strength carry you through difficult times in the past?

Write a prayer asking God to help you rely on His strength instead of your own.
