“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8
Spiritual growth begins with a decision—to draw near to God. Many times, we feel distant from Him, but the truth is, God has never moved. Life gets busy. Motherhood gets loud. Responsibilities pile up. Slowly, time with God becomes rushed or placed last on our list.
God lovingly invites us back. Drawing near doesn’t require perfection. It simply requires willingness. When we open our Bible, whisper a prayer, or pause to acknowledge Him, we are responding to His invitation. And His promise is beautiful: when we draw near, He draws near too.
Even a few intentional moments with God can realign our hearts and strengthen our faith. Spiritual growth happens one step at a time.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for always being near, even when I feel far away. Help me to intentionally draw close to You every day. I invite You into my heart, my home, and every part of my life. Grow me spiritually as I seek You.
